THE TOTAL ECLIPSE OF THE SUN WILL IMPACT YOU WHETHER YOU BELIEVE IN ASTROLOGY OR NOT .... SO BE PREPARED TO EXPERIENCE THE POWERFUL EMPIRICAL AND MYSTICAL ENERGIES OF OUR INCREDIBLE COSMOS TODAY.
Starting over the Pacific Ocean, the moon will slide between the Earth and the Sun. In doing so it will paint a 70-mile wide swath of darkness across the United States. This lunar sweep starts at 9:06 am PDT in Oregon, and ends at 4:06 pm EDT in South Carolina. Then the eclipse continues over the Atlantic ocean for about 75 minutes.
The Eclipse totality occurs when the moon is at the perfect distance from the Earth’s shadow to cover the moon. At that moment there will be darkness, and the light of the sun cannot be seen for approximately two minutes in many places. The temperature will drop, we will see the stars and the birds will appear to be very confused.
I have been uniquely connected to our incredible universe my entire life and I am over the moon with excitement today, as I prepare to experience my very first total eclipse of the sun.
Yesterday my crown chakra felt as if it was trying to jump out of the top of my head and touch heaven .. I can't wait to experience the magic of today. Here in West Linn Oregon, we are right in it's path and the magic begins at 10.19am.
According to Jungian terms, an eclipse is an absence of light when the shadow is seen. Carl Jung developed entire theories around the human shadow. Jung believed that the “shadow” is that dark part of all of us that we work very hard to repress and hide.
This is the first Great American Total Eclipse of the 21st century!!! SO TODAY we need to set new intentions and use this powerful energy to expose and bring to light that which is hidden.
I thank Courtney Martin and Wendy MacNaugton for their wise words which I will use as introspection and to set my new intentions during the magic of the eclipse today.
"This Is MY Assignment:
Feel all the things.
Feel the hard things.
The inexplicable things, the things that make you disavow humanity’s capacity for redemption.
Feel all the maddening paradoxes.
Feel overwhelmed, crazy.
And then FOCUS.
Pick up your pen.
Pick up your paintbrush.
Pick up your damn chin.
Put your two calloused hands on the turntables, in the clay, on the strings.
Get behind the camera.
Look for that pinprick of light.
Look for the truth (yes, it is a thing—it still exists.)
Focus on that light.
Reveal the fierce urgency of now.
Reveal how shattered we are, how capable of being repaired.
But don’t lament the break.
Nothing new would be built if things were never broken.
A wise man once said: there’s a crack in everything.
That’s how the light gets in.
Get after that light.
THIS is MY assignment. "
